Getting Fucking dropped
I have put off this post for a couple of days because it has been busy! So i'll make it short and to the point. A reference point for the future.
On wednesday, i fought to get my act together to get to the b crit. Keeping my sights on Nick Rossi after missing the C crit on tuesday for the last Caustic Christ show, i figured i'd roll down. And by roll down i mean dodge customers, drive home change clothes, drop the car back off fill up my bottles ride the center line and run red lights all the way to the BLVD. When i got there, the pouring down rain had cut through my rain jacket and cut the total field down to 15 d00ds. 4 being B racers and the rest being A racers.
They combined fields, not only was I rushing to be early, but rushing to warm up in the rain for an hour. BOOO
So i got dropped. Plain and simple, 8 laps in I fell off the back. I caught back on and made it to "20 to go". I fought to stay on and just bonked. That ended it. DNF.
Though nick got lapped twice, im pretty sure he finished. (i dunno, i went home) Steve K and Jmills (the boss) looked real good.
In addition, the Cannondale rep is always pushing me to wear and try Cdale stuff. I have checked out these L.E. Carbon knickers (real posh) and i have hated them. THey make this weird wetsuit noise and feel like a wetsuit. Its kinda uncomfortable. As all 8 inches of rain fell on the A race, i realized how awesome these things are. Shit kept my worthless Cat 4 ass warm as i soft pedalled all the way home.
In closing, i would like to remind my readers that i got fucking dropped at the combined field race, which is the A race, I would like to remind myself that Nick rossi did better than me by finishing and i must come at him swinging this week, and that wetsuits feel bad in the dry, thats why they are called wetsuits.
The blogosphere has been freaking out about Boonen doing coke. Dude is a classics man, he parties like a rockstar, too bad he got busted.
